RESA Scout and Adult Registration Process.
Use one of the options below to ensure you are not overcharged.
OPTION 1:
Use our event registration system, Registration Renewal 2025 – 2026, to submit your discounted payment for yourself and any family members. Please note that your renewal in my.Scouting will not update immediately. Additional processing by our professional staff is required before the renewal updates in the national system.
OPTION 2:
Begin your renewal in my.Scouting. At checkout, select “Click to print for manual pay.” Bring the printed paperwork to your local service center to complete your payment in person.
OPTION 3:
Units may also collect renewal information and fees from their members. Begin the renewal in my.Scouting, select “Click to print for manual pay”, then bring the completed paperwork to your local service center to submit a single payment for the entire unit. Additional guidance on this process is available at scouting.org.
OPTION 4:
Complete your renewal online through my.Scouting and pay the full CPF. This option allows your renewal to be processed immediately in the national system, but it does not apply the RESA-discounted rate
On November 3, the Executive Board of the Golden Gate Area Council met in a special session to review the Council Program Fee (CPF). After careful discussion, the Board approved an update to the fee structure, effective November 15. This change strengthens our ability to maintain essential services that support every Scout, including camp operations, liability insurance, youth protection, background checks, and council-wide program resources.
Part of the Board’s discussion focused on the Redwood Empire Service Area (RESA) and the sensitivity around an additional increase to the CPF beyond what was discussed during the merger. As a result, the Board voted to freeze the pre–November 15, 2025, fee for all RESA members through November 2026. Implementing this freeze has created several challenges, many of which are outside the council’s control. Our team has been working to address those items and has outlined four options to ensure the pre–November 15 fee is honored.
Please note that Exploring youth, Exploring adults, and Merit Badge counselors are not charged a CPF under the new structure and should continue to register and renew through my.Scouting. Those requesting financial assistance or multiple-Scout discounts will still need to complete the standard request process. Additional information about these programs and the current fee structure is available at Golden Gate Scouting.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Scouting in our council. We value your time and dedication to the youth and families we serve.
